Description
That being debbielove and frankie96, respectively.
Since these gentlemen are both admirers and participants in re the above mode of transportation, I felt they would find this awesome model of some interest.
Captured 8/6/09, around 3 PM DST, at an annual auto and motorcycle show within easy walking distance of my recidivist residence.
Better viewed full size.
Ta-ta, and thankx for stopping by.

Thanks Harry...someones nicely modified Harley...I doubt if I could reach the tops of these bars to ride it...they are called ape hangers.. and are not conducive to comfort...at speed with your arms up and no windscreen to block the wind blast..your body is like a big sail pushing you backward...

Great shot of a hot ride. I did always wonder about those handlebars and how comfortable they could be. Fenton answered my question nicely!!
mermaid
what a special one in a fine shot, don't think I could ride her though...lol... I would have the wind resistance of a flying fridge...lol

Excellent photo Harry. Nice to look at but not practical for going far...reminds me of the hot rods of the late 40s (saw them in books...ha, ha) and the 50s with the radically chopped tops. A driver of such a rod couldn't see very far ahead on a hilly road...the roof kept blocking his vision. Nice dedi.

Oooo, sweet ride! I do agree about the ape hangers though, not practical for distance runs. I'll show you my mistress in a little while.

What a delightful ride! Often on weekends when I venture outside the city to escape these guys in groups of 20-30 would come shooting past on some Breakfast Run... When that happens my Toyota usuaully vibrates right to it's tyres!!!

Beautiful bike built for one! It does look a mite uncomfortable. It is probably passionately loved by its owner. It looks well cared for. Excellent color and capture!

Harry, this is a wonderful photo of a bike. The quality of your light, the reflections, the silver-blue highlights and—I assume because of your angle and how you caught the light from above—the capture of the swerve & swirl of the thing all make a very expressive capture of a cycle, as light spills over it. A really fine capture of the lines & motions of the cycle, and just how formidable it is, yet also how graceful. It's a strange combo, isn't it, how a bike can be that big & imposing but also have a real grace...You've framed it perfectly; and the wall & building behind it give great texture and an almost abstract presence to the shot. That red wall atop is perfect: I've always felt you had an eye for the abstract, and this is a good example. (I really love the way it tops the shot, the reddish brown is just perfect, it adds an almost Japanese touch.) You have just enough shadow in the shot too. A wonderful shot for your friends, and a wonderful shot period. It jumped off the page when I saw it. (Lol, after spending time with that gorgeous 1934 Auburn, I've become more sensitive to the flow & language of chrome: You caught it here with real grace here.) Beautiful.
