Description

Shape-Shifter Saga is to be my first book. I have only been writing for about 6 months and this is my first attempt at a fictional novel. I have always found writing short stories fun and enjoyable so I thought I would try my hand at a book. Hope you like the Excerpt and the cover I have designed. Cover was done in Daz and Photoshop Cs3. Please feel free to let me know if I can improve this and what you think. All criticizm is accepted Texture for Raiver by RavenHair is Tenebrific by Moyra the Background is Folvagners and the Wolves are Altered images I have created Excerpt from the Book: "Dusty gave Joe the old Indians name, Kuckunniwi, his address, as well as a number he could call to let him know they were coming and when. Joe recognized the Old Shaman's name from stories he had heard. He believed it meant “Little Wolf” and took that as a good sign. Joe hung up the phone, left the information on the table and moved closer to BJ; gently he shook her shoulder to wake her up. If they were going to travel today, they would need to leave before it got dark. BJ woke, looked at her paws and gave a little whimper; she was still in her wolf state. If only she could have changed back while she was asleep, she thought. She looked up at Joe with sad eyes and tried to understand what he was saying to her. Joe tried to let BJ know what he was planning but he could not tell if she understood what he was saying or not, he still could not read her thoughts unless he too was in his wolf form. Joe quickly decided to phase so he could talk to BJ and help her understand what he had planned. He stood and backed away from the bed before the quickening trembles changed him from his human form into the big black wolf that she would be able to understand. As soon as he shifted, her ears picked up and the hope entered back into her eyes."

This has the makings of a great novel. the cover looks great! could you try a darker cover and see how that works? Just curious as to how that would affect the image
