Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Fine photo...like the feather detail. He lives to see another day! Is he a sea bird of some sort?

Strange looking fowl, Maz. If not a turkey, then what? Again, stellar clarity and lighting effects in this portrait.

I thought it was a Sea Gull from the thumb but now don't think so. Great close-up and details. Dana

They are known by the locals here as S ampersand interrobang T Hawks! There are millions around here in constant search of a feed of fish and chips!
