Foto scattata a Marina di Vecchiano al mattino presto, lungo la strada che porta al mare . mentre osservavo un airone cenerino sopra i rami di un pino , mi girai per uno sbattere di ali e vidi questo airone bianco che si apprestava a posarsi su un ramo. Chiaro invito a scattare foto !!! Photo taken at the Marina di Vecchiano to the early morning along the road leading to the sea. as I watched a heron on the branches of a pine tree, I turned to a beating of wings and saw this great white that was preparing to alight on a branch. Clear invitation to take pictures !!! Seconda fase: si avvicina e si posa sul ramo. Da notare le differenze di tonalita’ perche’in circa 2 secondi abbiamo ruotato da un controluce pieno con le ali illuminate in trasparenza a una semiluce del primo sole mattutino. Second phase: approaches and lands on the branch. Note the differences in tone 'perche'in about 2 seconds we turned a backlit illuminated with wings fully transparent in a first half-light of morning sun. The great white heron has a very elongated and slender body, a thin neck and angular and long legs. Measure 85-102 cm and the wingspan is 140-170 cm. Her dress completely white. Beak may be all yellow or all black apparently. Paws are blackish, capturing the nuances of yellow-orange in the breeding season. The eyes are yellow and are indicated by a green ring. These are beautiful shots! A great study of this huge but graceful bird. The transparentcy in the gigantic wings is breathtaking.

Bella foto! Le ombre sotto le ali sembrano grandi. Amo la trasparenza del singolo strato di piume sulle ali. Ottima cattura di questo uccello bella!
