Description

Foto scattata sulla battima a Viareggio , la citta’ dove sono nato . Photo taken on clap in Viareggio, the city where I was born. Viareggio is a town in central Italy [1], located in north-western coast of the high Tyrrhenian sea. With its more than 64,000 inhabitants is the second largest municipality in the Province of Lucca, the first after the capital. The city was born in the first half of the sixteenth century when it was the only window to the sea for the Republic of Lucca. To this period dates the oldest building in town, the Torre Matilde, defensive fortification built by the Viareggio in 1541 to counter the constant threat of raids by Barbary pirates. Viareggio is known, as well as home seaside tourism, for the Carnival, founded in 1873, with its majestic papier-mâché floats that parade along the "promenade". The official mask of the Carnival of Viareggio is Burlamacco, invented in 1930 by Umberto Bonetti. During the event, of great importance, there are also side neighborhood festivals that take place usually from Friday to Sunday. From an artistic point of view, Viareggio is known for eclectic, nouveau and deco and for being the city of artists like Lorenzo Viani, Umberto Bonetti, Alfredo Catarsini, Renato Santini, Mario Marcucci, Inachus Biancalana, Galileo Chini and Alfredo Belluomini. The city is an industrial center and craft, especially in shipbuilding, long known around the world. It is also known for fishing and floriculture. Good Sunday Thanks for looking and for previous comments

Immagine eccellente con chiarezza bella e la composizione! Mi piace il riflesso del bianco degli uccelli e un uccello che sembra di camminare con delicatezza, mentre l'altro sta facendo passi big. Interessanti informazioni. Mi piace ascoltare la storia dei luoghi. Buona giornata Excellent image with beautiful clarity and composition! I like the reflection of the white of the birds and that one bird seems to be walking delicately while the other is taking big strides. Interesting information. I love hearing about the history of places.

I piccoli tipi di Thes sono così svegli. It' immagine meravigliosa dello S.A., amo la POV e l'illuminazione molto. Viareggio suona come un posto bello, io spera che inviate un po'più di immagini di qui. Amo l'architettura di Nouveau e di art deco. Thes little guys are so cute. It's a wonderful picture, I love the POV and lighting very much. Viareggio sounds like a lovely place, I hope you will post some more pictures from here. I love Art Deco and Nouveau architecture.
