Description
This is NOT the Kremlin....
Better when viewed in full. Cropped and resized from 24.6 MP, but there's still plenty of detail.

WOW! It's funny but I might actually know someone who lives there! I mean in that particular building! I'm hoping to move to Moscow soon, especially since about 75% of the people I know live in buildings that look like this, or like Communist Era Czech "panel houses." I love this photograph because it's a part of the Russia that I expect to see when I arrive there, and I know that when I do, I'll probably be looking out of one of those windows, while a woman named Marushaka feeds me at least a dozen more palmyeni because I'm simply too skinny. I love the irregular placement of the air conditioner units...it looks so...improvised, which is something I became accustomed to in the more gritty, ghetto-fabulous parts of Prague. I love this photograph and thank you for posting it.

Hell, this could be a suburb in Philly. Nice shot.

A lovely view, indeed :))) Perfect "atmosphere"

Not particularily "beautiful", but there is a different beauty to this shot. It's like here, housing thrown up to provide places to live with not much thought to community, shopping access, etc. Big, grey, dull, but when seen like this, looking out over the city, there IS a beauty to it.
