very artistic but at the end of the day it is vandlism all the stuff inand around our city has either been cleaned off or painted over with heavy fines and prison for any one caught doing it

Ah... Russian exuberance. They don't do anything small, do they? My best friends are Russian, and though I have yet to arrive in Moscow, settle down, and complain about nosy landladies (something I fully expect to do as soon as possible) I can enjoy it vicariously...though my friends Victor and Stas, and through this photo. I love the exuberance of it. Russian graffiti can, indeed, be eye searing, and in some parts of Russia it's intended simply to brighten rather dram tenements; graffiti artists were (and probably still are) paid to "beautify" boring walls in some parts of Siberia, and I have no doubt that the same habit might exist in Moscow. Muskovites are pragmatic (and analytical as all get-out!) This is wonderful work. Or, as my dear friend Victor would say: "Это достаточно хорошо." (This [is] sufficiently good.)

LOL, as Chipka quoted his friend, "Это достаточно хорошо." (This [is] sufficiently good.) Yes, graffiti is vandalism, but sometimes it's quite good. I like this, it's brilliantly colorful, and has great style, don't you think?
