Description

I guess this could be a Boletus Edulis the red kind, but it is just a guess. ? Thank you for your kind comments to my previous post and special warm thanks to those who added it to their favorites. :) Have a lovely day. We started with clear sky and "hoar frost"? on the lawn. Sky was a little golden where the sun stood up. I tried to take a shot of the silhouette of the berries from the bird feeding tree, Which is the Hawthorn or the in (the spring) called "My Humming tree". :-) Havent looked at the shot yet.

Is it my imagination, or is there a little bit of frost on these mushrooms? At any rate, it's a beautiful shot, and as you (and Andrea) know, I'll always be fascinated by your fungus images. They're so interesting and for someone like me who has never really thought too much about mushrooms, they're a brilliant, new discovery. I love the details in this. They're amazing! Wonderful work as always.

A superb pic, Helle, but I'm fairly sure they aren't Boletus, what did the underneath look like? In the meantime DON'T eat them..!

I love the group of these together, the way they squish together for space, quite comfortable in their surroundings. Lovely!

Wonderful image! I too like the velvety texture and cozy bunching of these mushrooms. The earth looks so dark and fibrous. Is it a type of peat? I like the little leaves too, shaped similarly to the mushrooms. Beautiful color and detail!
