Description
I took this photo in the Smoky Mountains, located in Tennessee. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a hiker's paradise with over 800 miles of maintained trails ranging from short leg-stretchers to strenuous treks that may require backcountry camping. But hiking is not the only reason for visiting the Smokies. Camping, fishing, picnicking, wildlife viewing and scenic touring are also popular activities, and I will add my favorite activity to the list, photography. So whether you delight in the challenge of a strenuous hike to the crest of a mountain or prefer to sit quietly and watch the sun set, the park offers a myriad of activities for you to enjoy. The hardest part may be choosing which auto tour, trail, waterfall, overlook, or historic area to explore!

We've got some similar cascades here near my hometown. I will try to took some shots in the winter when the stones are wearing halos made from ice.
