Description

I took this photo in the Smoky Mountains, located in Tennessee. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a hiker's paradise with over 800 miles of maintained trails ranging from short leg-stretchers to strenuous treks that may require backcountry camping. But hiking is not the only reason for visiting the Smokies. Camping, fishing, picnicking, wildlife viewing and scenic touring are also popular activities, and I will add my favorite activity to the list, photography. So whether you delight in the challenge of a strenuous hike to the crest of a mountain or prefer to sit quietly and watch the sun set, the park offers a myriad of activities for you to enjoy. The hardest part may be choosing which auto tour, trail, waterfall, overlook, or historic area to explore! Thanks to you all for your visits and remarks on my White Bengal Tiger photo yesterday, I sure appreciate you all.

This is so beautiful! I am continuously thrilled by the photographic skill that makes your images so rich and moving. The glossy surface, the rock and the rapids are captured beautifully here, and then framed perfectly by a bit of earth, trees and leaves. This picture could illustrate many different poems. I highly approve of your choice. :) Your and Michael are a perfect team. I hope to see a lot more.
