Description

A couple weeks ago Denise and I went down to Picnic Point and took a few pictures. It was a grey and cloudy day, and we had a lovely time! She posted an image entitled View at Picnic Point and said I would recognise it. My jaw hit the floor! In all the times I'd been down there, I'd never seen this wreck. I knew it was there, but didn't realize it was visible from Picnic Point! So I went back on a sunny day last weekend to see what I could see. Whadda-ya know! There it was. I can't tell you how long I've sat with the Google map, scouring the coastline, figuring angles, looking at the photographs Denise and I took, and this still doesn't make sense! Maybe it's not really there. Maybe it's one of those scenes in a movie with haunting music ... the kind that lets you know you're going to hear the story of something that happened long ago. I would tell you all about this wreck, but I don't know anything about it except that it's on private property. Thanks, Denise, for sending me back down there! :D

Great find...that's why I like to go for walks...there's so many things we don't see when we drive.
