Hi Ma and Pa...
your number one son here... we're just about to leave the system for a two your slog to some planet named Vulcan...
We had a stopover at Io Station for the long distance upgrades we needed...can't leave the system without them..upgrades to the engines, more hydrogen fuel storage tanks, better chassis strengthening, a longer range sattelite communication and sensor tower....some kind of weaponry... that made me feel a whole lot better... I mean, this is the first time we've ever gone past the Oort Cloud and into the black...as you know, up till now, all they've let us do is scoot around the system, but now... out into the wild...
not only did we get new gear... they gave us new uniforms.....
they gave me this really neat red sweatshirt to wear... only a couple of us... crewmen mostly, get them.
On our way out, the captain promised us that we'd go down and visit all the planets we can...and I get to go down with all the landing parties.. wearing my new red sweatshirt... hey, what could go wrong...

did a massive upgrade to my Atomic Powered Enterprise...more along the lines of realistic designs...I think I'm going to have fun with this new upgrade...animations, here we come!

You've used some interesting textures, and this is a good bit of modeling. I love your little story, especially the "really neat red sweatshirt" bit. You've tapped pretty much all of the classic SF, I'd be curious to see what you keep in your library... Good stuff!

Poor sod, the dreaded red shirt = disposable landing party member, I hope he gets to go out with a bang and take out a few nasty Alien types with him ! Neat design progress and WOOHOO an weapons array ! Well done & ~Cheers~
