Description
Welcome, thanks for stopping in.
Have walked up the spine of this conglomerate of tepees from the south end(pls. see part 1). The vista here looks across the Coyote Buttes and the Paria-Vermilion Cliffs Wildernesses. The wisps of white in theses images are spent fuel from jet airliners mostly coming from LA heading to Vegas and Denver or vice versa.
The white in the foreground is snow amongst the checkerboard sandstone pattern. The shadowy area is the amphitheater. Am going to show a few more images as I walk the rim around the amphitheater to give a feel of the outside perimeter and the grandeur of this formation as a whole. Sorry the majority of these are the 12:24 wide angle until we get inside the amphitheater.
Thanks for the comments on the last image. A kind thank you too those that added the image as a favorite.

Again the beautiful lines, both of color and texture! Added now the checkerboard pattern, and the rich red of the earth beyond! It just gets better and better. Excellent shot and series!
