Description

Someone had suggested that I do a scale and ship recognition guide similar to what DCMStarships posts from time-to-time. This is pretty darn complete for the Terran Protectorate Stellar Navy. Warning: This is huge at full size. I have a lot more appreciation for the work that goes into these things. I actually rendered these ships all together in one scene, which is why you can see the aspect change from top to bottom. It also means that some ships may appear to be longer, due to their width, but that's an illusion. I think next time I'll have to do a PNG of each one straight on, and then paste them all in as layers in GIMP. My eyes ache at the thought of it. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. All spacecraft designs and specs are copyright Irvin L. Jackson 2009.

Thank you. They are a great set of warships. I agree with the GIMP idea. I've been thinking of something like this when I get enough ships built to have a navy.

Excellent work! It's big effort to do one of these sheets, and it looks great when you get it finished. When I did mine, I rendered each ship separately, then rendered a mask and then assembled though whole thing with multiple layers. Lots of effort.

Definitely an interesting collection and this recognition chart ties your work together nicely. Good luck with the frontals. };-)

I noticed that some ships looked shorter that were supposed to be longer than some others. Glad you explained why. Must make you proud to view this "sheet." I suspect you look at it and think, "Wow! I did all this!"

thanks so much for the size comparison chart! I always enjoy seeing an artist's family of ships all together with appropriate stats. Great job.
