Been awhile since I updated this, so here goes.
I am a published journalist and role-playing game writer, and I've gone "pro" with my CG art over the last year or so as well. While I've been writing for about 20 years now, the art's still fairly new to me.
Most of the art you'll find is either of my own intellectual properties, or art I've created for other companies and clients.
I like "big" science fiction epics, RPG-related stuff, pin-up art and just plain good work of any kind.
I'm not here as much as I used to be, as the art aspect of this has grown from hobby to professional work, taking a good chunk of my time. But drop me a site mail and I'll get it if you have any questions.

Wonderful image! interesting question about the package... if my fae decide to do some space work, it might come in handy
jchristenberry
I am, though the package would have to be substantial in what can be done with what it comes with... know what I mean? Ex: Craters, Clouds, Storms, cities, Asteroids, Spaceships, Rings (Saturn like), Suns, Nebulas, vapor/gas trails, land masses, water, explosions (on surface of planets and/or ships) etc... Yeah you package that stuff in it and put it with a nice tutorial... I AM THERE! OooHhh just thought of another too, Holographic looking versions of all of the above too! Just thinking of all the uses "I personally" would have for something like that. Wow... now I cant wait! LOL

There's some good ideas in there jchristenberry. I especially like the idea of holographic versions that people could use for display screens and the like.

Great image! I love the space background - nebulae and stars. The planets look great, too. The one thing to keep in mind with selling a package might be the illumination phases on planet layers -- for multiple worlds, they all need to be about the same phase, crescents like those in this image are good, so are head-on shots. And of course, people could rotate and invert the images at will. Mixing different phases, though... not so much. .PSD layers might sell better than .PNG layers. Just a thought.

Superb ! I may be interested in the package.

Pretty sure many folks would be interested in a package like that. I'd encourage you to go ahead with the project.

Actually this would be great, especially the planet scenes, i usually to make them in Mojoworld but the renders take forever in high res, anything that i can use with depth in the scene would be great, go for it !!!
flavia49
I think it could be a good idea, also the holo version! I did an holo in one of my renders and I worked a lot about it! Great scene!

Oh nice I could get lost in this sector of space in a Minute!!! Your Background on the planet reminds me of Babylon 5, Man now I'm going to have to break out the tapes!! Loved the show Brilliantly written a true full circle of events!!
missgrin
Very beautiful...

I love scenes like this and have crafted a few of my own in photoshop. They're so much fun, and I love your planet textures. Great sense of scale and color as well. This is gorgeous work, especially your star-field. It has character, depth, and doesn't just look like salt spilled on black construction paper (too many starfields look like that,) and it's good to see an exciting emission nebula and varied star colors here. This is superb.
Battlesoxers
I like it a lot and would package it if I were you.
