My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I think it's appropriate given the photographer who took it that the UFO looks a bit like a mushroom. I wonder if barley-sugar aliens are edible? A very clever take on the original.

I can't believe you got something off this fast! This is a hoot! Great image and oh, so funny narrative! Wonderful!

You have given Andrea's original picture a wonderful twist. Super work.

It's rumored that these aliens take over people's brains. They can then see things only as though it we though the lens of a camera. For some, this meant nothing, for others, well, lives were altered forever. They saw things in hideous color, grass was, well chartreuse, the sky was green and people were strange hues of blue. After a while, it all seemed normal. The aliens ruled this world, they were called Rendomaniacs and bowed to Queen Pstwrq, who skewed everything she saw.

Hehe... great story! This is a great, imaginative and most creative composition! I'm not sure as to how I'd react myself, if I were to witness this though.... awesome concept and presentation, my Friend!

Oh, this is hilarious! I love what you've done to this piece and the no-nonsense photographer is a hoot! Yes, aliens will do in a pinch! This is superb work. Of course Barley Sugar Twist aliens have been spotted in this part of the galaxy: according to other sources (employees of the Bureau of Interstellar Trade and Treachery) the Barley Sugar Twisties are likely on a migration that coincides with the Eleventh Rectification of something terribly unpronounceable to anyone with only one tongue.

Thank you! The rest of the office will now deal with a far more smiling and friendly Clive Being! Tee Hee! Clive

Wow, That was quick!! Absolutely hilarious, Tara! If you lived here you would realise how close to the truth you are: the drinking to excess that happens every night probably leads to encounters of this kind on an all too regular basis.

So I take a few days off and I miss the big event. Super funny narrative. :>)Isn't is wonderful that we can all have such a great chuckle, about the influx of posted shrooms and mostly posted by Andrea. Actually a big thumbs up to both Tara and Andrea for being such wonderful members of RR. Dana
