Hi,
Here are two of my lacemaking bobbins, a hobbby I don't get as much time to do as I would like. They are made from Bone and are hand painted by Janet Retter. She paints the most beautiful and detailed pieces of art on to bobbins which are amazing, these are Christmas '08 and New Year '09.
It makes me want to get my lacemaking pillow out!

it's worth a zoom to see the amazing detail Janet puts into these, the christmas tree is tuely beautiful, being a cat lover you will usually find a cat in there somewhere too.

I totally appreciate lace making - tatting - as I've seen some of the most intricate work done with up to 30 of these and pins all over the place on the pillow. Beautiful bobbins and a great collage of them.
