Hi All,
My name is Tracey and I live in Oxfordshire, England. I've been a keen photographer since I was able to prize my Dad's camera off him as a child, which wasn't easy IÂ can tell you, and the photos were rather blurred. If my memory serves me correctly he soon took it back! LOL
I've just invested in a digital SLR (heaven!) I had a compact digital camera but I always loved the memory of my old 35mm SLR. I'm having such fun with it, I hope you enjoy the photos I post from my learning curve!

I wish I hadn't lost all my shots from my old PC when it drowned because I had some awesome shots of lace being made during "gold rush day" here in town. Fabulous shots and I can fully appreciate the work and skill.

I've never made lace, but I've seen it done. I'm with Mike ... I'll stick to crocheting!

Think that might be too complicated for me. But I find the idea fascinating.

Having looked at all your 'bobbins' posts I can fully appreciate the skill needed to make such beautiful lace and it must be very satisfying to complete but I don't think I could follow the instructions or have the patience to do such a hobby. Coming from Nottingham originally, I have seen many pieces and a couple of demonstrations but feel sure I couldn't do it myself. It's a very old craft - all credit to you. I think I would rather just 'collect' the beautiful bobbins as a hobby. Wonderful captures and collage.
