Description

We've had a cold snap here, with temperatures below freezing for several days. We took Thursday afternoon off and headed to the Columbia River Gorge to shoot some frozen waterfalls. This is one of my favorite shots. There's a gallery from the trip here

This is fabulous. Out of the ones in your link, the Horsetail Falls shots are the most amazing to me. How different from what I saw last spring. It was cold then, I can't image it frozen!

Gosh, that's a great shot. Must have been really cold for running water to freeze. Nice to see a post from you.

Oh wow at first I thought it was only small until the bridge at the bottom put it into perspective. Great photo.

It's amazing how far the spray flies. This really shows it off! I can't wait for it to warm up, though. Man, this cold thing is getting old fast! In the meantime, thanks for going out and braving the temps to get these gorgeous shots! Your gallery is wonderful.

Oh, I missed this in December. Great shot of the frozen falls and I loved the "lunatics" climbing the ice...pitons, ropes, picks and all. They must be training to climb mountains in Nepal:)
