Description

The New Zealand Plesiosaur Kaiwhekea catching its preferred food of cephalopods. The name Kaiwhekea is derived from the native Maori's language, and translated means simply squid eater. Everything in this piece (apart from the texture maps, which were made in Paintshop Pro) were built, composed, and rendered by myself in Carrara. For the upcoming Palaeo-environment show at ART Evolved, www.blogevolved.blogspot.com, on Jan. 7th. Be sure to enter a piece of your own!
