Description
Captured back on 10/27/08, at the 7th Annual Wings Wheels Rotors & Expo, held at the beautiful Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) in beautiful Los Alamitos, California.
Better viewed full size.
It wasn't until I was watching the Army/Navy football game last Saturday, featuring a Golden Knight parachute jump into the stadium during the festivities, that I recalled I had several pictures of the team doing their thing that I had captured over a year ago at the above mentioned JFTB show.
The Golden Knights, the official US Army Parachute Team, formed in 1959, are celebrating their 50th year in business this year, which is rapidly coming to a close.
Check them out on Google.
These are all long distance shots via my aim and shoot camera. I'm showing them coming in closer and closer during this series, so stay tuned.
I believe Marilyn/beachzz may take up this activity after she tires of kickboxing.
Toodles, and thankx for clicking on.

Wow...50 years they must be real good at what they do. Allot of experience to pass on and all. Very cool shots. I've always wanted to try this. Looks so awesome. But I don't know if I could make myself go through the airplane ride up to go down...LOL

Chuckles @ Rose's comment above. I understand that a certain percentage of parachutists can't wait to exit the aircraft feeling flying in an airplane is dangerous :-) Excellent quality in your five shots Harry. I still want to know why there are British guns on display at that base...USPS or FEDEX must have mixed up the shipping tags :-)))

Excellent shots here, well arranged so that it seems they're about to pop out of my monitor!

It is fun! I have done it a few years ago and it is the biggest adrenaline rush you can think of! It is the most wonderful feeling of freedom that you will ever experience! Great shots Harry! :)

These are great! On the fourth one I like the captured pose(ankles crossed, one arm up and very obviously looking down) and the light. My favorite is the first image. I like the different positions of the two (one in profile and the other head on and from a greater distance). Also, though plainly they are descending in all of them, when I look at the guy in the far back of the first one, it's almost as if I see him move before me. Wonderful shots!

Sorry my friend I just got to it to coment and yes you right this is a best from a three uploaded collage. No cut off feet and a yellow canvas as a sun backlit it is just perfect. I realy like No4 shot.
