UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Excellent idea...well done:-)

great work, Bill but why don't you eliminate the rail? ;-D
bmac62
Good comment by Sandra46 about the rail...I decided to leave it in since it is low and to take it out brings me back into some of my wheel problems...reconstructing tires that are both dull and shiny and reflect highligts is extremely time consuming and without much trouble...they soon look like the product of a 5-year old:-))) And then there is the spoke problem. Glad you asked:)

wonderful work!!!

Phenomenal work, but now I'm really confused. Which is the original and which is the postworked version on your previous upload? I thought you had cloned out the placard over at the lower left.

THIS is an excellent pic. With all the PS work in the "Almost Done" post I thought you were modeling it for a layer to use elsewhere

Excellent! What rich tones. Glad you put the floors back in. They really add to the beauty.

The floor does give it a base to stand on. Very well done! Clive

LOVE the floor! I'm glad you put it back in. You know what a freak I am about light and things that shine! The rail doesn't impinge at all upon my enjoyment of the image. You do good work, my friend!

Great choice to leave the floor Bill. It would have been ideal without the railing but I definitely see your predicament that you have explained to Sandra! Great work my friend and watch your mail for some of my images... LOL...

I thought this looked great in your first posting but I think it does look better with the floor. This has turned out to be a great photo.

BEAUTY !

Love these old crates. I shudder to think about the location of the fuel tank, but any WWI plane was likely to burst into flame with one hit. Excellent work and the floor is fine.

Extremly well done!

Txcellent photography, Bill! I can hardly imagine how this monster could take the air...

OH WOW! It has really been a hard work, as I know very well, how it is to "tube" a picture, But you have done a brilliant job here. I see you pasted back the floor. Good idea. It was very nice with the shades and so. So you used photoshop. I am not very good at that porgram. I use Paint Shop Pro 9. :)

Great work. A lot of Photoshopping I think?
