I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

Wonderful point of view! Did your camera survive the dust? I guess the wind plays a fair role there too! Cheers, Clive

Wow they are some deep tracks to drive through. Great shot.

I like the mood of this photo and the colours of it, as if it were an old black and white photo that had been reprocessed to see it in colours again. Very nice pov and mood.

Wow. I can see why you like this! The dof is wonderful, and I love your postwork choices. There's that color-shift in the air, which I love, and the whole thing is more compelling than it should be. I mean really ... a truck on the beach? This should be "eh - nice," but it's really something quite special! Looking at this, I can easily imagine myself lying belly-down on the beach in Namibia taking photographs. :D

The end of the line!! Nice!

What Tara said. The colors in the sky are fantastic. You don't have to go to Namibia to lay on your stomach in the dirt, however. You can do that anywhere, even in your own backyard.

Oh wow! Look at those colors! That whole environment is just...well...WOW! Oooh, I like this. I wish I was there. Heh...I'd bring Victor too. What a spot. What a picture. Everything works perfectly in this and well...because I'm me and my brain goes off in those strange directions, I can see this as the stand in to some wonderfully alien planet...but then Namibia has that alien planet look until you realize its right here on Earth. This is fantastic.
