Description

Not The Aqua or even Aqua Something ... just ... AQUA I suppose having only one name is supposed to convey the inherent class and exclusivity of the building. This is another condominium in Chicago. I don't think it's been completed yet. This one is more than 80 stories, if memory serves. If you're interested, you can learn more about it here: AQUA

A most intruiging and quite attractive piece of sculpture, but I'm not sure about living in it!

Oh yeah I love this. What an interesting building. Thanks for the extra info on it. On a serious note, I've always been fascinated by skyscrapers, but after all those 'jumping' clips from September 11 I have never been able to see them in the same light ever again.

I've seen this neat building somewhere before:) And I remember thinking another name could be the cat-scratch building. It achieves something few other buildings of this size achieve...a remarkable uniqueness in its' exterior appearance. After just going back and staring at it for another time...stare, stare...it reminds me of an old automotive radiator...the kind with all the little, horizontal, parallel fins running around the core to let off heat. Anybody see that besides me? Maybe Chipka will with his background in his dad's truck yard??? I do like this...unique, you've got!

LOL @ Bill! I think I agree with him on the other name... I'm not sure I'd like to live in it, but it makes a wonderful photo!

WOW! I didn't know that Chicago had something like this! I like that. I think they were going for upscale pretentiousness. ONE name, to convey something...or at least a name composed of one word...rather like Cher, only without the spunk, pizaz, and eccentricity. I have to say that this is actually a nice building, it's pushing the envelope as far as Chicago goes. I wouldn't live in it or work there either, but I'd look at it from the outside and actually find myself amazed at how it does imply water. This is a wonderful find, a great presentation, and an all-around-great photo!

Creative architecture and not unattractive but tthe overhangs remind me of some of Andrea's fungi growing on something.
