Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I can make a joyful noise but dancing...probably not:-) But, you did well capturing the spirit of this lady dancing for joy and most likely including everybody else in her emotion. Well done Marilyn...was this in San Francisco or near by?

This woman looks like she just "caught the ghost" which I always found rather creepy whenever I found myself stuck in Evangelical Christian church services, but this isn't a creepy picture at all, and well...I like it. Okay, that creeps me out, as Christianity and I are diametrical opposites, but all of that aside, I like this photograph a lot and it's obvious you saw something that more people need to see. This is fantastic.
