Description

Last week when I was working for my friend near San Francisco, I passed the train station several times a day. There are many of these metal benches--I love the clean lines. I'll have to go back, though, I never did get the shot of the train I wanted!!

Perfect urban minimalism! I love this shot. It's very clean, very striking. I love the sense of geometry and no-frills functionality that itself attains an artistic grace. The light is fantastic!

beautiful moody shot, filled with dark & hidden light, and you caught it as if the bench rolled out in front of you for the sole purpose of capturing that light. Oddly, in retrospect, if feels as if it belongs to the events of the weekend, because it's a mysterious presence stretching out to catch the light for you, as if JoAnn were speaking to you this night, appearing in the things before you to remind you she hasn't left and will be with you as you go on your way...Beautiful shot, has a vision-quality, and so nice that you did it in b&w so that pure light was its subject above all else...Many blessings to you still, and to the others who are walking with this loss. I know it's a long journey to embrace & transform it. ("...and so I send O all her faith and all my love to tell her that she will move from mourning into morning..." from "Sonnet to My Mother" by George Barker.)
