UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

I love this arrangement and the sense of light and color and improvisation. Wine and chocolates always seem so improvisational, and it recalls a phrase I learned in Croatian. "piti-jesti-piti" I don't know how you spell it exactly, but I know that the "j" is pronounced like a "y." It means "drink-eat-drink" and is sometimes said as a toast. That would be a great title for this image, but I suspect that only Croatians would get it. Not a bad thing, but too specialized an audience. This is a wonderful, warm photo. I love it, and it feels good just looking at it. Merry Christmas.

Wow ... a beautiful setup, and a wonderful photograph! The mood is nicely open and inviting. I might have one of those chocolate nut clusters (yum!!), and the wine looks lovely ... such a gorgeous color! Of course I love the glasses and all the reflections, and the way the light comes in through the window. It's twisting my brain in a knot, trying to figure out which parts are upside down and which are backward. (Okay, the sketch is here in the wine, but it's there in the stem, and the fireplace is on that side ...) It's far too late for me to be trying to figure this out. I can imagine the 3-D wine glass model, though! :D

First Crush for me! I would drink both of these all to myself, in the hopes that they would "crush" my gallstones :) Those yogurt covered pretzels look delightful, and making my mouth water! That sweet n' salty treat has become a wonderfully awesome acquired taste for me just recently! Lovely reflections within the glasses, looks soooo good! :) All the best to You and Yours, for 2010!!

Awesome hospitality!!! It doesn't look 'rosatello? (pinkish) wine, it's too orangish, maybe it's jerez or port? or maybe Aperol?
