Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

A very beautiful and inviting room you have here and your christmas tree looks wonderful with the train set buzzing around the base. Now that is a great idea. Your lighting in this capture gives it a lovely warm feeling and I would love to come and rest a spell.

OH yes, that looks really cosy and it seems you have had a pleasant time. I love the colors of your walls. A wonderful warm color. My walls are made of wood.

just love the shot, including your colors & modulation of hues across space, the way they move from bright to shades, from yellows to greenish golds, etc etc, is quite beautiful. I have a point & shoot, and I still haven't plumbed 1/20th of the settings available on it: A fine DSLR must offer amazingly fine choices. Well, the art is in how you handle them, the product you sculpt in the end; and this is beautiful interior shooting bill. It shows the same sensitivity you show in your museum shots. The play of deeper browns with the lighter golds is beautiful; the light off the far right couch & that table/ottoman in front of it is beautiful, etc. It has soft light & hue changes, and fine clarity too--though not so much that it takes away from the softness. Several subtle things happening here, and they all add up to a soft musical capture of your home. I really liked this when you posted it, I'm glad I'm commenting on it at last.
