Description

This is The Bean in Chicago at Millenium Park. What a fabulous place to hang out! The reflections in the curved chrome sculpture are absolutely amazing. I loved every second we spent there!

I really hope you got a lot of pictures of the images reflected in that Great shot!!!! (I'd probably fill a card with images just from that sculpture alone)

How fascinating to see something round shiny and "flat" while the tall buildings standing behind it as a guards. Great curved effect of the reflection.

Stellar balance and appeal! The shine contrasts with the cement of the skyscrapers.

Da Bean! Oh I love pictures of this. It reminds me of an alien spaceship as painted by Jim Burns...back when he was doing really "globby" alien spacecraft thingies. It's a pleasure to see late 1980s era Jim Burns artwork plopped down in the middle of Chicago. And this is a gorgeous picture of it! When I first returned here, I got a shot of this from close to where you were standing! I could spend hours trying to capture that thing and you did a perfect job here. You caught the contrast between The Bean and the buildings behind it perfectly!

Okay, you can now officially colour me green - with envy! I now have a bean in my bucket... list. A wonderfully different POV, given all that I have seen of the bean before. Stunning! Clive

WOW ! What a fantastic capture Tara. Marvellous POV. Exiting looking at the bean, but also looking at the tall building in the background a little to the left. Look at the windowa. they disturb my sence of perspective :-D I love this capture.

Gosh, Tara! This is such a great pic, showing the context of all the pics that you must have taken of reflections etc. For someone who will never get to see this in person, it's very important. I like the contrast between the older tall buildings and the contemporary one behind, and judging by what is shown in the bean, it can't be a bad view from those front-row windows!

Great shot, The contrast in shape with the other buildings and all that chrome is super there must be lots of pictures of the older buildings to be taken in the reflections.

Whoa, I looked at this from birth...and then almost missed commenting. Particularly like the way you've brought out the colors in the "Chicago wall" behind The Bean. Gee, you could sit at one of those benches facing The Bean and keep your eye on what was happening behind you. What an amazing structure!
