BIOHi all...welcome to my homepage. Please check out the gallery and I do urge you to investigate some of my favourite artists...in my opinion they are awesome, the best of the best and true inspirations.
I started in Bryce and Poser, but have moved on to Cinema for my 3d work and am developing a serious interest in Matte Painting in Photoshop. My 3d modelling skills are basic in the extreme, and though I admire greatly people such as Rochr and Stonemason I dont seem to be able to develop beyond the beginners stage. These days I tend to concentrate on Photoshop and combining 2d and 3d elements, using Cinema to render out the 3d stuff, and I hope the results speak for themselves.
Cheers, and happy rendering...Ian

Dear Mr Redspartan (;)) First of all, allow me to apologise for the amount of time since the inception of this image and me commenting on it. Secondly, I remember walking through this august place for the first time and feeling my gratitude for all those who had strived to enrich our lives and knowledge through their labours. Whilst the surrender of its cold walls to the inevitable reclamation by the Kingdom of the Unconscious is depicted here with skill and reverence, one cannot help but take a moment to consider what it implies; no more art, no commentary on beauty, no more lusting to know. As with all of your images, the natural but commanding composition combined with the earthy and subtly chosen tones strike a chord together that resonates powerfully in the beholder. Their is a dignity in your work that makes this viewer hope that others draw upon it and grow in the love of their own art. There should be no surprise, given my adoration for the image expressed above, that I am rating this piece with '5', as I do not personally see any room or need for improvement. You have said that at its full resolution it lacks somewhat, but I generally view a painting in a gallery from feet away, rather than an inch from its surface! I note with some interest the suspicious absence of Darwin's statue. I would've thought the plants would evolve a flagpole around him. Huw T. Carr April 2012
