Description
Took the kids to the snow yesterday. Was a very nice day a Pinecrest Lake here in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We don't see snow in the valley and so It was welcomed when a light snow fall occurred for about an hour while we sled.
At one point the racing became more like a roller derby on sleds. Trying to bump each other of the packed trail was just to much fun! The only thing that got them to come home...... the dark. :~)

OMG, they seemed to be having lots of fun, cute little kids! If only they would stay young forever. These are the best of times when you can capture them with your lens like this. Their smiles are priceless!

When my 2 oldest grandchildren were very young, I had 2 plastic dishes I kept for winter fun. As you say, no snow in the valley but I live only about 45 minutes away. I would pack up the kids and the dishes and head for a snowpark in the Sierras. Their faces as they played and slid down snowbanks was priceless. They are older now but even as teens they have said this type of thing is a little childish...they now are asking for snowboards and skiis! I love the exuberance in this shot. A truly feel-good photo.

wonderful capture and they look like they are having so much fun... a friend of mine lives in Amargosa Valley in Nevada, near Las Vegas. He said it's been quite cold there.

I have not been on a sled since I was a boy.I recall it is a blast.we had mo hills so we had to push each other.they look like they were having a ball
