Description

This is the back of my building from about a block away. Keen-eyed observers will notice a portion of the 1957 Pontiac featured in my previous post, "Slow Death". This picture was made on November 2, 2009.

I never seen structure of houses like so, I mean in europe there aren't stairs outside the building and like so are rare even in u.s.a.!!! Great capture, eautiful car too!!! :)

I love the repetition of stairs, pickets, windows, bricks, fence, power lines. You have such an eye for this sort of thing. Great photo!

I know exactly what I'm looking at here, and what really strikes me as odd about that is the fact that you've caught this on such a wonderfully sunny day. I know exactly where the sun is, aside from the visual reference in this picture, and so I know what I'd expect to see behind you the photographer. I love the geometry of this. Since my return to Chicago, you've lived in places with the most interesting backsides. I love the stairs and the repetition of verticals and diagonals, as well as verticals. There is a part of your brain that are incredibly precise (knowing you for 10+ years gives some insights, you know) and well...that typical "Corey Precision" is obvious here. It's good to see another manifestation of it. You have such an eye for almost mathematical patterns and there's so much in this image that is mathematical, or in a sense, musical. It's an amazing photograph and so bright. I love the wood tones! Great work. Another favorite!

I like the geometry and architecture here. Beyond that, this image shouts NEIGHBORHOOD - not the usual suburban, mowed lawns, fenced in yards with two cars in the garage, but a place where folks have lived for generations. I can imagine sitting on those steps, sipping a beer and exchanging "Maybe next year" with Cubs/Bears/White Sox fans. Great work.

Fascinating!! I love this..I've seen nothing like this before! Other folks' ordinary is some folks' really strange.

I love this shot---backsides of things often are far more interesting than fronts. I saw the car right away, though mostly because it just added to much to the whole scene--love this!!
