Description

Hi... This is a picture for the close up fans... Its a close-up of all that matters on a GR9 Harrier.. Zoom in for those really good details... Ejector seat.. intake.. AAM..etc! Take you pick! Taken at RAF Cottesmore on the family open day...VERY close up... This base has been ear marked now for closure! Yet more of our defense network, gone! Rob

Oh, man! How cool this is. You know me...I am happily under the influence of close-up friends, so this strikes just the right note with me today. Well done.

Being a close-up fiend myself, I love this. I have always thought to myself how scary it must be to be shot into the air in an ejector seat.....but I guess if the plane was crashing I would do it in a heart beat! Great shot Rob.

I WAS this close! No zoom at all... No barriers.. You could touch the plane!.. It was a RAF Family day, which meant, tickets went to a VERY restricted few! I had a friend of a friend! The Harrier had just returned in the last week or two, from Afghanistan, so if it looks a bit.....worn, thats why! These are VERY hard working aircraft.... Rob
