Description

Among the living gifts granted to a new King at the onset of his reign, there is no higher honour than gifting the new sovereign with the beast that will serve as his royal steed. Literally hundreds turned out to allow Perseus to look over their finest stock and choose his royal steed. Horses of every hue and build stood at attention, some mincing in their places with anxious and eager excitement, their handlers cooing to keep the beasts calm. Blazing whites with pearly silver coats that shone like opals in the afternoon sun. Brilliant bays and chestnuts ranging from blood red to deep, rich mahogany. Coal and raven blacks with powerful haunches bunched with muscle, ready and willing to run. Golden buckskin and palomino coats with onyx and ivory manes and pricked ears held at attention. Misty dappled greys with coats of misty hues to star dusted near black. Duns and roans from every tone of sky grey, to rosy red and claybank brown. Painted and spotted creatures with patterns that seemed to shift even as they moved. And shades defying description or definition swished silky tails and tossed delicate heads in his direction as he passed. But one eye held caught his and held it. A warm, honey brown set in a delicate face. Intelligent and determined eyes from a line of warriors not so far unlike himself. Calling the dusty dun forward from the line, it's primitive markings standing in sharp contrast to the refined and polished colours of coats around him. The deceptively delicate stallion stood proudly among steeds that were, at least seemingly in their handlers minds, far superior to the desert hued creature that had been called out before them. With a nod to the Royal Groom and to the creature's handler the deal was struck. This stallion would henceforth serve as his royal steed and primary mount. "Sire?" The Royal Groom intoned as the stallion was brought to them. "What will you call him?" The stallion seemed to dip his head, ever so slightly, to his new master and gave a joyous little buck as he was lead from the lines to his new place of honour. Looking over the gilt touched sides of his new steed and considering a long moment in silence before answering with a smile. "His name is Chrysaor." ~~~~ Another of the Court of Clerin and their Steeds -- This time, however, going for the brass ring, the King of Clerin, Perseus, and his steed, Chrysaor. A name taken from Greek Mythos - Chrysaor ("He who has a golden armament"), was the brother of the winged horse, Pegasus, and born from the head (or severed neck) of the Gorgon, Medusa, when slain by Perseus. The original concept was Scott's, I just stole it and ran with it to work it into my series since I'm the horse fantatic. *grin* ~~~~ Michael 4 -- DAZ Scott Body Morphs -- EricFarris Krew Head Morphs and Textures -- Morris Glyn Hair -- AprilYSH M4 Bodysuit -- Discobob Calibre Bodysuit -- Shimuzu High Tech Trekkers for M4 -- blondie9999 Millennium Horse -- DAZ Pro Pack Horse Textures and Mane and Tail pack 2 -- CWRW Native Costume -- Daio EquestrianPoses1 -- Daio Fantasy Dreams for Native Costume -- Pizazz Marlene's Lair -- DM Productions Sky Scape -- Twilight Productions (2009) Lighting, pose adjustments and postwork -- Me

I'm blown away by what you've done with the image, love! I was struggling to get the basic concept down, and within a few hours, you brought it to life! Chrysaor looks better than I could have ever hoped for! Love the posing and lighting, and the setting you placed them in links it perfectly with the world of Clerin. As for your story, a scene I hadn't even thought of... you know your favorite creatures so well, you paint a vivid scene of the selection with your words alone, and captured the very essence behind Perseus's choice. I'm left speechless except to say thank you, and WELL DONE!

I've got an image in mind for you, didn't get it until after I just uploaded... I think you'll like it - lol Should have it before this week is up... your horse looks good, I really need to play with my Milinium Horse....
