Description
Just a note to say that the blue on the track is natural. It was the reflection from the sky. As I straddled the train track to get the shot, that little voice in my head reminded me to look over my shoulder about 1000 times!!!!! A bad habit of mine is to lose myself and forget about my surroundings whenever I am looking through a camera lens. It's almost like the camera gives me a false sense of security.
PLEASE ZOOM.

YOU ALWAYS MANAGE TO KEEP YOUR STREAK OF ORIGINALITY AND THIS TIME ITS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PICTURE. GREAT AND VERY IMAGINATIVE SHOT, LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU, OH WELL NICE KNOWING YOU.

Well seen!!! The oxidation outlining the blue color of the rail accents it well. Nice contrasts in the image as well.

This is great, love the selective coloring--and I'm very glad you kept looking over your shoulder. I'd miss your eye and your perspective a LOT!!

Yes, even a big DSLR camera doesn't afford much protection against a 100+ ton locomotive:-) Know what the last thing is that goes through a bug's mind when he hits a windshield? Well...think about it. LOL. Oh, a comment on the photo...really creative. Who knew you could get such a fascinating view of the sky.

I have this thing for selective coloring, despite only a few examples of it in my own gallery! Oh well...sometimes its more fun to look at someone else's efforts. This is a gorgeous example of it. What sharp color. I suspect that the blue is wholly natural and a bit more pale, but with the black and white it just seems so much sharper and almost alien. That shows the increible subtlety with which your eye works, and is able to pick out the best colors to preseve while desaturating the other bits. I love the way that works. Great job here, and I'm glad you didn't have any rearward encounters with oncoming trains.
