Description

I hope my offering will appease the gods, for all that rockin and rollin yesterday left my knees shakin for sure. I was lucky, just lost a couple of things, but others weren't quite so fortunate. We do live on shaky ground here in California, there's no doubt about that. I was touched by the people who wrote and called to see if I was ok. I heard from a friend in Atlanta barely 10 minutes after the quake hit, and SHE heard about it from someone in Virginia. I couldn't even get news till later in the evening. **6.5

I hope this works, marilyn, but I'm guess the earthquake god will be back. I like the lighting on this image.

All light and glass is good. The colors here are all you. Nice to know others are keeping you in mind isn't it!

Beautiful image; if it were mine it would be a blur from nerve-shake! I don't like earthquakes at all, having been in more than a few big ones...I hope your offering is accepted!

A tribute to the earthquake deities in this remarkable image, and the very epitome of stellar lighting effects to reveal the many color hues/shades, facets, textures and refractions of the broken glass, Marilyn! I wonder if you have to make sacrifices, such as the ancient Aztecs did to the sun, to appease the earthquake gods.

a wonderful shot, Marilyn. I loved the title to the last one, but this one is even better. And the shot itself is big and bursting, and those colors---the blue against the peach---are the best. I don't know if that's ice in your glass or glass shards, but it's a terrific design. A fav for both glass pics and for braving a 6.5. Terrific captures of the aftermath. Calm days ahead to you!

This is so weird. I don't think of earthquake damage being something that looks good; it's kind of like taking pictures after a blizzard. No one would think it's "normal" but that is when you catch really cool things. I am glad you are okay, and I'm sorry a really beautiful glass didn't survive. This is great! I hope you don't have to go through too many more Earthquakes, but I think you really hit something with glass. I like this a lot.

Really great capture of light. I am so sorry I am so late. I still miss California. There is something everywhere that could be disastrous. No matter where you live.
