Description

I know I said you'd get to see Mt. Rushmore next, but I can't access that drive.. I nearly panicked, but hubby came home just in time to alleviate my fears. He unplugged my external drive because he was having some kind of problem with the USB thingy. So Mt. Rushmore later. We have a thread here on RR called "The Picture Below Me". It's a fun thread and you should check it out. Anyway, this morning I happened to check in with the thread and the next "picture below me" was to be "Something in the Dark". So I thought, It's dark outside, what can I take a photo of? Then I remembered the Calla Lily had started blooming and I have been trying to get a good photo of that flower for a couple of years... it hasn't been a simple thing.. lol. So, armed with my camera and a flashlight I ventured into the dark. :) I took too long though, and someone else beat me the upload.. lol. But that's okay, I am really happy with how this photo turned out and I am sharing it with you now. So this photo was inspired by the request of Helanker in The Picture Below Me. My previous upload, "Three Presidents". A couple of you asked what that was towering in the background, and I didn't see anything around that mentioned what it was. But I was there only long enough to take a picture. I think it looks like what MrsLubner suggested, Old Spindletop. By the way, tennessecowgirl pointed out that was my 400th upload. Slipped right by me :) Thanks for looking/commenting. HUGS, ~Melinda~

Nice nighttime capture of the calla lily. Katherine Hepburn would be proud of you. Incidentally, if you have the time and feel like venturing way back into my gallery, I have several uploads of the same type flower.
