Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

Oh Dana....THANK YOU!!! This shot is wonderful!! Oh yes, the koi feeding frenzy!! Nothing like it! And a LOT safer than a shark feeding frenzy, LOL!! This shall be my wallpaper since our beloved koi are now under inches of ice and we shall not be able to see them for a few more months... We actually get into our koi pond in the summer and handfeed the fish Cheerios and cocktail shrimp. Yes, cocktail shrimp. Sometimes we may only be having hamburgers, but the koi are getting shrimp, LOL!!! And they also love watermelon!! Thanks again for this wonderful picture!! It brought a big smile to my face!!!

FASCINATING KOI FISH!!!! I LIKE THE COLORS
goodoleboy
Keen kapture of the koi in one of their typical feeding frenzies. Otherwise, they are always most gracious and polite to their pals while swimming about. If you've been following my gallery for any length of time, then you realize, of course, that koi is my milieu, but I appreciate the competition. I have several tons of pictures of them still sitting in my files. But, always interested in captures from other ponds and biological gardens of these gorgeous fish. Nice shot.

Koi are weird...as goodoleboy pointed out, they're so serene until there's food nearby, and then they're like really cute, toothless sharks. As for this picture, it's quite wonderful. I love the sense of...well...frenzy, including the one koi caught mid gape! Wonderful! This is superb work, brilliant in color and motion!

They remind me of my cats when I'm carrying an arm load of bowls of cat food. Excellent shot! Wonderful motion and energy! Love the one caught with his mouth open. In the cat analogy, that would be Pepper!
