Description

Men are From Mars (A tale of Ninja Photography) (Part 2 of Women are from Venus) As you know from my previous post, no women are allowed on Mars. Just as there are no men allowed on Venus, however you know me. I could not resist the temptation of photographing landscapes forbidden to me. Once I decided to go for it. I had to develop a plan. The landing bays on Mars are heavy patrolled and you need papers proving your identity before you are allowed to step foot on the planet’s surface. It’s the same protocol used on Venus. The only difference there is Amazon women who patrol there. Mars has body builders that are all former NFL players and heavy weight wrestlers, the ones who had too many injuries and concussions to continue to play. The ones who had the concussions would be easy to get past with my plan, but I don’t know about the ones with ACLs or other injuries along that line. I started communicating my plan to a few friends. Most of them thought it was totally crazy just for some shots of a mostly barren planet, but it’s one we have never laid eyes on, and no woman has ever photographed before. That was just to much of a challenge to pass up. My friend Jackie pulled me aside. “I have a friend who could get you papers, but we will have to work on a good disguise first, you can’t just walk around there like that.” She said. We hit the thrift shops and got my hair cut really short. Then we bought some Duct tape. After all there are things we need to make flatter. We went to see her friend, who shall remain nameless for safety purposes. I got the papers I needed. The plan went off without a hitch. There were no paintball tournaments this day. They were busy at the clubhouse planning their next gathering and events for the year. I had the place to myself, but I wanted to be quick about it. Dave attends these meetings, and I don’t care how great we thought my disguise was, he would know me. I don’t think he would turn me in, but I think he would have expected me to return the favor on Venus. I think with the goatee he would be spotted instantly. This is a shot of one of the canals of Mars. This is called the Daugion, which means of soldiers. The red planet did prove very barren, but still quite interesting. Perhaps I will venture back someday and get more shots. Thank you for stopping by and for all the comments and favs on my previous post. This was actually a manipulated shot of the Wisconsin Dells taken this past June. Have a great evening, Much love and peace, Cheri

Sneaky little thing aren't you???? The disguise was particularly good with the exception of what ever it was that made you appear a bit larger than most males actually are. I'm guessing now that the old saying, "it's not the size of the wand" was originally stated by a male! This is incredible post work, and actually resembles what I would believe parts of the Martian terrain would look like. Well done M'lady............not turning you in is going to cost you though, I have a pretty good imagination, so it should turn out to be fun all the same!

Fun fun fun!!! Turn Dave's remote imagination switch, on low.. the wavelengths are so powerful, he is trying to take over your creativity channel. doesn't look like we are missing much on Mars. I myself visited the private Venusian Spa, Today's special was a mint tea and vanilla shampoo and conditioner applied while you were luxuriating in the Indulgent Pleasures Peach in bath moisture lotion with Vitamin shampoo bubbles.

A very nice and imaginative scenario, Cheri, and I hate to be a spoil sport and nit-pick, but if there are no women on Mars, and no men on Venus, then how do they reproduce? By in vitro fertilization, gene manipulation, cloning? And you must know that Venus is no Garden of Eden. It has a noxious atmosphere, and the temperatures are in the tons of degrees, with a plastic surface consisting of who knows what. Hence, a veritable hell hole. As for Mars, good luck there, also. The atmosphere is not that conducive to breathing, it's very cold, there are dust storms, and since the size of the planet is much less then that of earth, then there isn't too much gravity to contend with, which would make weight lifting a snap, even for the general, out of shape, man-on-the-street. Oh, I forgot to mention that is a super photo above, with wonderful Martian red color and cool textures.

The sacrifices you made for your journalistic activities. Thanks for the description of the image. Looking at this I thought Mars was made of skirt steak! When I was a child my father used to tease me, telling me he was from Mars. So maybe he wasn't teasing? Fantastic story and image.
