Should my eyes never gaze into the windows of your soul
Should my fingers never touch the gentle curves of your face
Should my ears never hear the metronome of your breath under ebony skies
Behind my lens you live, you breathe, coursing through my heart
Hope replaces never tipping the hands of fate
Should my lips never taste the breath of your kiss
Should my being never know the attar of your presence
Should my body never sway to the beat of our heart songs
Behind my lens you bathe, in the currents of my soul, filling me with the attar of your essence
And so to you I send an ember to ignite,
my thoughts, my hopes, all my dreams
Love on feathered flight
