Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I wish there were more old growth redwoods around...oh there are some, but we've taken so much away from nature. Ah...but I've seen little bitty redwoods and they're deceptively small. THIS is a wonderful shot...it's a bit vertiginous. Ugh, did I just use that word? It fits though, because if you were up there looking down, you'd be looking a long way down and thinking about that makes me dizzy! This is a great piece of work. I like the light, it's almost dream-hazy, but not obscured. Again, more great work. But the funny thing is I still have haiku running through my mind from the post before this!
