Description
I was out walking today a few miles from my home, and I had decided to leave the camera at home this time, well of course I saw all sorts of blue jays, mocking birds, a stunning tree with a gorgeous sky behind it, well when this hawk swooped down into the tree next to me, I was really kicking myself for leaving the camera behind. I finished my walk got back into the car, and like any enthusiastic photographer, or should it be fanatical, you all know who you are, lol I put the car in park, ran upstairs grabbed my camera, ran back downstairs, grabbed a diet coke out of the fridge (it had been a long walk lol) and got back into my car, waved at my neighbor and I was back on my way, luckily the hawk had waited on me and I was able to get four shots before he flew off, so I hope you enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed watching him.

A fantastic capture in the wild. And it was so nice of him to wait for you! I have done the same thing so many times, I've made it a firm rule to always have a camera with me.

Absolutely wonderful shot.. I have learned to carry reasonable quality small i.e. pocket camera.. Any shot is far better than no shot..!

I think all birds of prey are Italian. They all look like they are saying, "Hey, you want a piece of me?" Stunning capture. You should contact the Audubon Society. They would love you.

What a fantastic shot!! We have redtail hawks here that love to harrass our parrots through the windows but our cockatoo is big enough to keep them at bay when they are outside!
