Description

This is my meager attempt to Poserize the Character of the Victorian Governess Elisabeth Laurier (circa 1845), that the French actress Sophie Marceau (better known for her portrayal of the Princess of Wales in 'Braveheart')portrayed in William Nicholson's film 'Firelight'. This movie has touched me so much that I've must have watched over a 100 times already! The female figure in my remapped PosetteV3wg, using EI Odetta skin texture. The Victorian dress is a combination of the P4 stock Catsuit and Formal Dress. Rendered in Poser Pro with 3 lights (1 IBL at 20%, 1 Infinite Diffuse at 20%, & 1 Spotlight at 80%). Gamma Correction was set at 2.20, Ambient Occlusion was set for the IBL light, and Raytrace Shadows for the Spotlight. Rendered against a blank screen, the background and shadow were created by postwork in Photshop. dph

that's a very lovely morph. i think you should actually post a larger version of the image to show it off. you also might "render over black" to get rid of the white halo she has right now. the background is a little extreme in terms of value difference; it implies a light that comes from our left and behind her. the earth tones work well with this quiet picture, and the dress is nice, if a little tight in the torso. the skin looks beautiful, and again, i'd suggest posting a larger version to showcase it.

Oh dear, i love your work on remapping Posette to wear V3-Skins. This work is very good. But without fitting morphs (and face skin foto), the face of Posette do not change only with renaming. (Sorry i am not an native english, so i search for right words) This looks for me not as like as the actress Sophie Marceou. As a "victorian girl" may be.

This is really impressive work. Your skin remaps breathe new life into those older characters. Nice job.

I was a bit confused, at first: the image had that Monty Python (Now for Something Completely Different) sketch quality that I'm sure you didn't intend to inject into your image. It's quite clear that you've put a lot of effort into recreating a likeness. I haven't seen the film so I can't comment on your level of success there. I'm also fascinated by Victorian / Edwardian female dress... it speaks of an era where women somehow eventually overcame a restrictive attire / environment / phallocratic social system to eventually embrace women's suffrage and the beginning of a process to give a sembance of freedom.

Observations: (IMVHO) Left hand - the 2 middle fingers appear crossed. Hands appear more natural if fingers slightly bent. Left arm - try bending (sideways) the forearm away from the body a small amount. (females have the elbow joint differenty from males - supposedly so they cn fasten their upper support under garments. ;=] Lighting is somewhat harsh - try reducing the "Shadow" parameter value(s) cheers, dr geep ;=]
