Description

In high school I had a girlfriend named Linn. She was beautiful and lively. Linn is also a Scottish name for waterfall. On our way to Mount Rainier we passed several of them. I thought that this one was the most beautiful and lively.

Really stunning image! It looks great on zoom, but I also encourage everyone to shrink it so that the entire image can be seen at once. The composition and depth is amazing! What a wonderful way to remember your high school girlfriend. This image certainly fits the bill. Beautiful waterfall! I love following it's movement down the image. Wonderful water marks on the rocks, and great snow and ice. Excellent capture!

Very pretty scene, very nicely captured. Makes me want to stoop and have a drink of the cold, clear water.

I love driving around in the mountains, and these wonderful little roadside waterfalls are part of the reason. They're like a gift! Beautiful shot.

Brilliant shot! So glad you didn't do the silky/fuzzy water trick.

Gorgeous work. We don't get those waterfall thingies here in Chicago, or anywhere in the Midwest for that matter, and so seeing this beauty is a particular treat. I love the solid rock, the flowing water and the contrast in textures between the two. The light is perfect and moody, a little bit mysterious, and that just adds to the appeal. Brilliant! It's funny too, because isn't Mount Rainier where the UFO phenomenon started--well...at least the place where the term "flying saucer" was coined?

Beautiful shot. I love the dusting of snow around the edges. To me, waterfalls are like fires in a fireplace, you can't can't stop looking into them. Hypnotic.
