Description

This leaf is for me one of the most fantastic creations of Mother Nature, so I will post a little study over this leaf the next couble of days. I hope you wont be bored. :) -=AND ZOOM PLEASE=- Thank you for your kind comments to my prev post and extra warm thanks go to those who added it to their favs. I almost thought I had to pull it down again. SO they mean alot to me, these favs. :) Have a great day and weekend. We still have a little frosty and grey and the snow is still kind of nice, but difficult to walk on. We had a little time of blue sky yesterday afternoon, just when I had my walk. Very slippery. Took different shot, that you will see later :)

You have such an eye for nature! I love these leaf skeletons. When I was a child I would find them in my grandparents' back yard and press them in really thick and heavy books, then examine them under my childhood microscope. Of course I used them in the little homes I made for woodlice being woodlice, never seemed to care...they were always more interested in the cabbage and lettuce and carrots I gave to them. Oh well... Seeing this in the snow reminds me of a valentine with the blood vessels in it. It's a very intriguing image, and it is more delicate than a flower. These really are very fragile! I can't tell what kind of leaf it used to be, but I love it and this kind of shot will NEVER be boring. I would love to see more!

I like this a lot! It looks like a valentine. Maybe a valentine made out of those small gold, colored noodles you can get in a Chinese restaurant. They're expensive too! This is very clever, and I really like the ice or the snow. I think it's snow, but it looks like those little glass ornament beads that you up in flowerpots only very small. This is fantastic.

This must be seen in zoom, the detail and wonderful patterns are just amazing! The background looks like a thousand shades of brown! I zoomed it up to 200% and was astonished at the tiny lines stretched like an intricate maze across it. The jagged edges look like dancing flames against the snow. It has a burnished quality like delicate gold work. I love the beautiful shining veins. I have no worries of ever being bored by your work, or by this exquisite leaf! Gorgeous capture!
