The minotaur had come out of nowhere, its size belying its subterfuge. The monster was silent until it was almost upon them, taking the two off guard as they ate by the fire. His elven ears detecting the heavy breathing, in but a second Kylar was on his feet, swords drawn, shoving Pallas behind him. The mage hurried up the steps of the forest ruins, mumbling some arcane language. Kylar's skin prickled from the power as the young magic-wielder readied a spell. Though the elf had taken a vow to protect Pallas, he knew the boy would not flee, stubborn human that he was. The minotaur gave him no more time, it charged head on. Together, they would fight Riordan's monstrosity, or they would die trying. Ok so I'm finally seeing my frustration with DAZ pay off. Hope you guys like this one as much as I do!
