UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Love the color here, hard to believe it was such a fierce warplane. I'm beginning to see the beauty in these machines!!

Hello there Bill! Well... lets see now... Without looking at the link, we have a J on the badge on the fuselage.. That's the symbol for Jg52 (Richthofen)... Obviously one the most famous German Fighter Squadrons of them all.... This is a fine shot , well preserved, but not to sure about the boarding under it.. I assume its under the Spit as well... Lovely to look at! (I have a surprise from Waddington related to this plane ..to post very soon) Rob

This looks lovely with its great bright nose, though I guess that isn't really its nose, You would certainly see it coming. Excellent capture.

"Wir gingen auf England". (or something like that) My German is a bit rusty (40 years ago). But the fact remains it's a great shot!

I'm really impressed at the quality of this shot. That room was so dark ... I got a lot of blur. Fantastic image!

Came from Andrea's image. I can see that this image was perfect for her to work with. Lovely colors and POV. That bright yellow looks beautiful against the dark background. Of course, I love what Andrea did with it too.

WoW! This is amazing Bill. Excellent reading and additional images too. This is my favourite version of the 109 so a real treat :)

This is nice...well...you do these aeronautical shots incredibly well...well...you do a LOT of images incredibly well, but I can tell you love things that fly and have spinny-things on their noses. What I really like about this shot is the grace you captured. As a kid I always thought propeller driven planes were clunky and primitive and well...ugly...I much preferred jets for their swept back wings, and rather wasp-like appearance. But when I see these, I am glad I grew up and can now see the real engineering that goes into these beauties...okay, they're not as sleek and sexy as "colonial vipers" from Battlestar Galactica</> but they're wonderful works of functional art, and you capture them perfectly. I love the colors and the light and the whole vibe of this piece. It's not museum like at all...and well...I think you and Corey and Mark and I should make a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry...I wanna see you in action, and well...Corey is my walking Duct Tape detector so I wanna know if there is duct tape anywhere on planes like these! At any rate this is a wonderful image and I'm glad I saw Andrea's digidoodle, because I missed it originally, which is a HUGE error or my part. Oh well...I saw it now and that's what matters.

Way cool POV of this 109. It wasn't on display when I visited in the early 90s.
