Description
"...and please make my daddy come home soon. I miss him a lot. Last year, on my birthday he wasn't here. It made me so sad. Next week is my birthday, he said he will be home soon and we will go to Disneyland. I'm so excited to see him again."
How many are they, the young ones whose hopes is as big as the ocean, they waited just to find out the truth. Many of our loved ones, a father, a son, a brother or a mother, they never made it home. This I dedicate to those who are serving our country, the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for peace, and to those who are still in peril. To those who grieve, those who made it home but not as a whole. They were broken inside and out and still healing from the painful experience of being in a war-torn environment. Those who were at home, they suffer too. Families who will never see a father again and it will take a lot of time to the road of recovery.
This girl is just one of too many... I'll leave the rest to your thoughts and feelings.
"But through the cloud of tears
I see the Father's smile and say well done
And I imagine you
Where you wanted most to be
Seeing all your dreams come true
'Cause now you're home
And now you're free."

Very sobering and sad picture Jenny and what I get from this is that it brings home the truth of war and the senseless waste of life war brings.. But there needs to be those who will stand up to an evil, cowardly or aggressive enemies or governments that want to, and do take peoples freedoms away... and we salute those heroes, servicemen and woman.. We sorrow for the loss that families feel when one of these brave soldiers die or are maimed in action.. Lovely work and a tear or two in my eyes too.. well done!!

Thank you. Thank you so much. From someone who grew up in a military family, this is moving and a wonderful dedication to those who have sacrificed so much to keep us safe and free. 10,000 stars.

A beautiful image you have created here and it must be so hard for the children to understand fully. I think you have done a great job with this.

Sent a cold shiver through my body, which is the highest compliment that works such as these can generate... when they touch the soul and spirit and not just the mind.

Your words are true and they are timely, Jenny. We often forget of the horror that young families go through when their daddy / husband becomes a "casualty". Children can't understand it... and the hurt never truly heals, does it? Thank you for bringing this back into our consciousness and giving us that perspective... and as we look around us, is there someone hurting, like in your fine image? Someone we can help?

This is one of the most beautiful and moving scenes i have seen. It brought tears to my eyes. The little girl had the most beautiful face, but you can see sadness in her eyes. Lovely dedication

This is beautiful on so many levels. Beautiful and heart tugging. We all have a tendency to forget those who have and are sacrificing so much for us. Thank you for reminding us. My God protect them and their families, and bring them all home soon.
