Description
This is Gabriel my new foster pup. He is such a sweet boy. He is matted right down to the skin and very very thin. He will be getting clipped soon as I think the mats are really bothering him. He is just so so sweet. How anyone can allow this to happen to a dog is beyond me. He brings me to tears thinking what he must have gone through. He is going to be fine now. He goes to the vet tomorrow and with TLC and good food he will be a new happy boy. Right now he has issues with chewing and seperation anxiety. He is also very skittish. My girls will warm up to him eventually. They did play a little today. He loves them and wants to play they are not so sure. LOL He is not yet 2 so he is high energy. I have a walking buddy now.
If I'm scarce you will know why. I may need to turn off the ebots until he is fully acclimated but we shall see. I will try to keep up.

I think the rescue group is taking bets to see how long before I fail fostering 101 with this little guy. hahaha

Luna you are a Saint and thank you so much for saving this adorable little dog. Gabriel has such a innocent face and you can see it has a bit of sadness in it as he must have been through a lot of pain. We saved a poodle in the same condition years ago and I'm so glad he has found a loving home with you.

Thanks guys, No sainthood here, Dave. It is my pleasure and gives me great joy to help these little guys find a better life. Of course it also breaks my heart to see the condition that some of these little ones are in. There is nothing like seeing the light come back into their eyes and the bounce back into their step.

OK, then fatten him up and proudly let him go. I couldn't do that, but if you can you not only pass fostering 101 but have my deepest admiration. Giving with all your heart and then letting go doesn't get easier over time, I don't think. Good for you! He looks so devoted already.

Don't worry about trying to keep up - what you are doing with Gabriel is much more important. I think he's really landed on his feet now, whatever may have happened to him before.

Luna you really are an angel my dear friend, I can see the hurt in that poor little dogs eyes, but soon his eyes will shine with love and joy again!
