Nice macro Marilyn! Memories of the Arabian mare on our farm that loved to try and knock you off by getting as close as possible to the barbed wire fencing!

First of all, don't touch or grab it! Great clarity and contrast of the barbed wire against the blurred background, M! This reminds me of a boss I once had that referred to it as barbed "war."

I have a passion for barbed wire. It is an invention that revolutionized the old west. Great shot.

This is a slight departure for you...not surprising however. You do such open and expansive shot so well and now you've given us something simple and intimate, and yet it's still so completely you! I love this! The DOF is rich and inviting, and even though barbed wire barbs aren't exactly the most inviting things around, you've really shown this to be a captivating subject. Brilliant work and yes, the composition and crop are superbly spot-on! I love this!

I saw the title to this and thought of the Pamela Anderson movie Barb Wire which wasn't as bad as I thought. Chip turned me on to it because he liked the name of the actor who played her brother: Jack Noseworthy. Yep. That's his real name. This has nothing to do with bad movies, but sometimes stuff just slips out of your mind and you have no control over it whatsoever. But I think it had something to do with this shot...the name at least. Great shot. I love the little details and the soft hints of rust.

I know I've shared my responses with you elsewhere, but a milestone is just another occasion to say thank you for one of the most scintillating, spontaneous, heartful, explosive and bursting, radiant galleries I visit. I love this place, And this piece is somehow you, because it's just one more little thing that you've made into a really big thing, it's highlighted out of its day-to-day and made grand, and because your background is almost all light (with that wonderful tree reflection, upside down) which makes the whole thing appear like a dream---which a number of your pieces look like: a wonderful journey of the soul. The changing hues of the water (that is water, right? don't tell me it's a piece of aluminum siding, lol!) are wonderful backdrop. Simple, spontaneous, energetic and meditative---some of the qualities you give us here all the time. And in answer to your next upload's sentence, I am blessed to have your ear & heart & great sense of light & dance in my life too. I wish you thousands more! A terrific gallery Marilyn! I'll be back for more, I'm not through here yet, I promise!
